- find an edible plant in your city and research which plants can be its companions to form a permaculture guild
- procure seeds or seedlings of the compatible companion plant(s)
- plant the seeds in close proximity to your chosen edible plant
- monitor how your newly planted guild fares over time, its growth or decay, how well it flourishes
- document the process and results online
