-Als atomen zweven 64 ballonnen in het niets, keurig geordend in een matrix van acht bij acht. Dan raakt de ruimte gevuld met een diep sonoor geluid, terwijl de ballonnen oplichten en als het ware een subtiel ballet uitvoeren op de ritmische klanken van de elektronische muziek. Beweging, geluid en licht vormen samen een dynamisch en grootst kunstwerk. Alsof we voortdurend verspringende atomen zien binnen een complexe molecuul.
-De Duitser Christopher Bauder ontwierp de installatie ATOM, terwijl Robert Henke –eveneens uit Duitsland en beter bekend als Monolake- een muziekcompositie bij dit werk maakte. Samen levert dat een fascinerende performance op van meer dan een half uur. ATOM beleefde afgelopen september een zeer succesvolle première tijdens Tesla in Berlijn, het jaarlijkse festival annex laboratorium voor media-kunst, en krijgt zijn tweede uitvoering op het STRP Festival in Eindhoven van 22 tot en met 25 november.

The potential of ALAVs 2.0 lies in its ability to captivate a wide audience and communicate the idea of people cohabiting a shared space with networked objects.
