Bringing traditionally disparate or oppositional individuals and groups together for a 'team building' day. What would that day look like? What happens if we listen and learn? Can we have better solution-based conversations?
The day could be organised at the world ocean summit, or the plasticity forum, bringing people from ocean conservation together with people from renewable energy, plastics and/or fisheries.
Implementation:
- identify key players
- invite them to spend a day and ask them about their needs, perceptions and values
- the day might potentially be facilitated
- explore options at blue week, Portugal world ocean summit, plasticity forum…
- design and implement the day
- reflect on outcomes
Needs
- Good facilitators
- Research time
- Economic expertise
- Community opinion leaders
